Foo Fighters Bassist Nate Mendel’s Band, Lieutenant, to Release Debut Album

The Foo Fighters and Sunny Day Real Estate bassist will release Lieutenant's debut album, entitled If I Kill This Thing We’re All Going to Eat for a Week, on March 10.

Mendel has also premiered the album's lead single, "Believe the Squalor." You can stream the new track via Stereogum.com.

Lieutenant features Mendel on lead vocals and guitar. The album also boasts an impressive list of guest contributors, including Mendel's Foo Fighters band mate, Chris Shiflett, as well as members of Sunny Day Real Estate, Modest Mouse, Fleet Foxes, The Head and the Heart, Helmet and Snow Patrol.
