"A truck carrying essential band equipment was involved in a serious accident today whilst traveling from Christchurch to Auckland," reads a statement posted early Thursday morning on the Frontier Touring Company's Facebook page.

"The specialized equipment on the truck was so badly damaged it cannot be used," the statement continues. "Replacement equipment is being flown from Los Angeles to Auckland in time for the Foo Fighters Mt Smart concert on Saturday night."

The Saturday night show in Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium is expected to occur as scheduled.

Foo Fighter's tour of New Zealand and Australia will run through March 8. The band will launch their full-scale North American tour on July 4 in Washington, D.C.
