As the conservative church protested the Foos' concert at the Sprint Center in Kansas City on Friday, the band drove by in a pickup truck, blasting Rick Astley's 1980s hit "Never Gonna Give You Up."

Drummer Taylor Hawkins held up a sign that read, "You Got Rick Roll'd (Again)."

The Foos pulled a similar stunt in 2011 when confronted with a Westboro Baptist Church protest in KC. The group donned faux facial hair and performed a country-style song titled "Keep it Clean (Hot Buns)" as frontman Dave Grohl declared, "God bless America! It takes all kinds. I don't care if you're black or white or purple or green, whether you're Pennsylvanian or Transylvanian, Lady Gaga or Lady Antebellum."
