Foo Fighters Top Billboard’s Hot Tours Chart

Credit: Brantley GutierrezFoo Fighters have been making a lot of noise in South America this past month -- enough noise to earn them the number one spot on this week's Billboard Hot Tours chart. The band's tour closing show on January 31 in Bogotá, Colombia sold out, bringing in more than $3 million at the gate.

Dave Grohl and company will hit New Zealand and Australia next before they make a quick U.S. stop in May to headline the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama. After a tour through Europe, the Foos will return to the U.S. for a full-scale tour, beginning July 4 in Washington, D.C.

Jack White comes in at number five on the Hot Tours list on with his sold-out Bridgestone Arena show in Nashville, Tennessee, and the Papa Roach/Seether co-headlining tour grabs the number eight spot.

Surprisingly, Linkin Park appears on the Hot Tours chart, even though the band ended up canceling most of their tour after frontman Chester Bennington suffered a leg injury. Still, the strength of the two shows LP played before cancelling the tour was good enough to earn the band the number three spot on the chart.
