Image Courtesy of Big Hassle MediaThe Governors Ball Music Festival has announced the dates for it's 2015 edition. The fifth installment of the festival will be held on Randall's Island in New York City from June 5-7.
"We're thrilled to welcome our city's own music festival, Governors Ball back for another year, but the success of their work goes far beyond the stages of Randall's Island, touching New Yorkers' lives all over the city," says New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio in a statement. "The Governors Ball gives back to our city through its local hiring initiatives, small business partnerships and donations to local and citywide charities, including giving to the Mayor's Fund after the East Harlem tragedy this spring. "
According to a press release, the lineup for Gov Ball 2015 will be unveiled in mid-January. The lineup for the 2014 festival, which included, among many others, Jack White, The Strokes, TV on the Radio and Vampire Weekend, was announced on January 15.
A limited amount of discounted pre-sale tickets to the festival will go on sale November 13 at noon ET via GovBall.com.
