Items from late Slipknot bassist Paul Gray’s personal collection to be auctioned

Gary Miller/FilmMagicItems from late Slipknot bassist Paul Gray's personal and private collection will be auctioned online next month via BackstageAuctions.com.

The catalog includes Gray's tour used instruments, amps and gear, setlists, stage-worn attire, signed memorabilia and various personal items.

"Each of the guitars and jumpsuits has their own story to tell and represent a significant element of Paul Gray's touring and recording history," says Backstage Auctions founder Jacques van Gool. "I have personally worked with [Gray's widow] Brenna Gray over the past 18 months and her final selection of items from Paul's collection is amazing and truly honors Paul's legacy. She has hand-picked items that will appeal to Paul Gray and Slipknot collectors all around the world."

The auction will be held April 1-9, with a special VIP catalog preview held March 26-31.

Gray co-founded Slipknot with percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan in 1995. He died in 2010 at age 38. The title of Slipknot's latest album, 2014's .5: The Gray Chapter, is named in honor of Gray.
