Keyboardist Isaiah "Ikey" Owens, who has worked with Jack White and The Mars Volta, died of a heart attack.
"The coroner has determined that Ikey Owens died from a heart attack the morning of October 14 at approximately 4 am," reads a statement from White's press rep. "The only drugs found in his room were a small amount of marijuana."
"He was a beloved member of the music community as well as his hometown of Long Beach, CA," the statement continues.
Owens was on tour with White in Mexico when he passed away Tuesday morning at age 38. White has cancelled his remaining Mexico tour dates.
