Krist Novoselic to Join Duff McKagan at Seattle Book Signing

Da Capo PressIn a meeting of bassists, Nirvana's Krist Novoselic will help Guns N' Roses' Duff McKagan celebrate the release of his new book, How to Be a Man (and Other Illusions), with a conversation and book signing in Seattle. The event will be held at The Neptune Theatre on May 17. Tickets will go on sale on April 17. Visit STGPresents.org for all ticket details.

Novoselic and McKagan have known each other for quite a while, and they've both written for Seattle Weekly. Both bassists grew up in Seattle, which is of course where Novoselic met Kurt Cobain and formed Nirvana.

How to Be a Man is McKagan's second book, following his 2011 memoir, It's So Easy (and Other Lies). His sophomore effort will dole out life lessons, including a list of every album that every man should listen to, from Abba's Gold to ZZ Top's Tres Hombres. McKagan also teams up frontman -- and fellow Washington State native -- Ben Gibbard to discuss the problematic math question presented by Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer": Is it possible to see a million faces and rock them all?

How to Be a Man will be released on May 12.
