The NFL tweeted, "Joining @KatyPerry during her @pepsi @superbowl #halftime show on @SNFonNBC? Mr @LennyKravitz. Feb 1 can’t come soon enough!"
In recent years, it's become popular for the Super Bowl halftime show to feature a pop headliner with a special guest from the rock world: think of Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Black Eyed Peas and Slash, for example.
This year's Super Bowl, Super Bowl XLIX, will take place in Glendale, Arizona on February 1.
