Original Veruca Salt Lineup Announces First Album in 18 Years, “Ghost Notes”; Hear Two New Songs

Credit: Gary KordanThe original members of 90's alt-rock band Veruca Salt have announced the release of their first album together in 18 years. The new record, called Ghost Notes, features 14 new songs and will be released July 10. You can pre-order Ghost Notes now via Veruca Salt's PledgeMusic page.

"Honestly we can barely believe we are saying this, but: our new album is done and it is great and it is called Ghost Notes and we cannot wait for you to hear it," the band says.

Along with the album announcement, Veruca Salt has also shared two songs from Ghost Notes: lead single "Laughing in the Sugar Bowl," and "The Gospel According to Saint Me." You can listen to both tracks now on the band's Soundcloud page.

In support of Ghost Stories, Veruca Salt will be touring North America this summer. The tour begins July 8 in San Diego and concludes August 1 in Washington, D.C.

The original Veruca Salt lineup's last album together was 1997's Eight Arms to Hold You. The band is best known for their 1994 hit, "Seether."
