ABC/Lou RoccoIn the beginning of December, Paramore's Hayley Williams got a Grammy nomination. Now, we've just learned that at the end of December, she got an engagement ring.
Her longtime boyfriend, Chad Gilbert of the band New Found Glory, revealed on Instagram on New Year's Eve, "Popped the question on Christmas Day!" along with a picture of his and Hayley's faces photoshopped onto a picture of a bride and groom with the words "Getting Married" written across it. Then Hayley tweeted, "Hey guess what?" along with the same photo.
The couple's celebrity friends congratulated them on Twitter, including Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy, and Zedd, who collaborated with Hayley on the hit song "Stay the Night." As the good wishes poured in, Hayley tweeted, "Can't even keep up w/ the sweet texts, emails, tweets. Thx so much yall! We're so psyched!"
Hayley and Chad have been dating for about six years, and their relationship inspired Paramore's hit "Still Into You."
