Universal Music Group - Anton CorbijnOver the weekend, a batch previously unreleased Nirvana demos and alternative mixes surfaced online. The 14 tracks were uploaded by YouTube user RareNirvana.
The collection includes demos of "Scentless Apprentice" and "Milk It," plus an instrumental version of "Heart-Shaped Box." There's also "Sappy," an outtake from Nirvana's Nevermind sessions at the famed Sound City Studios.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of rare Nirvana demos in the Kurt Cobain documentary Montage of Heck, which returns to theaters on August 7. Director Brett Morgen recently revealed that the theatrical version of the film will include a previously unheard Cobain demo that was not featured in the HBO cut of the film, which premiered in May.
