ABC/Randy HolmesProphets of Rage recently wrapped up their Make America Rage Again tour, but the band won't be slowing down any time soon. The politically charged rap-rock supergroup -- made up of Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk, plus Public Enemy's Chuck D and Cypress Hill's B-Real -- plans to keep raging even after November 8.
"This is not a one-off thing just for the election," Commerford tells ABC Radio.
"This is a real band that I'm very excited to be able to be in when I'm 83, you know?" he laughs.
In fact, the Prophets already have made plans to begin recording new material.
"We already have studio time set up for January, and we're all very excited to get in and make another EP," Commerford says. "We're gonna do at least two EPs a year from here on out."
The debut Prophets of Rage EP, The Party's Over, featured just one completely original song, but Commerford says that will change for future releases.
"It's not gonna be long -- check back in with me in a couple years -- where we've leveled the scale between our catalog and our new songs," he tells ABC Radio. "And I'm very excited about that."
Meanwhile, Commerford is working with new band Wakrat, who will release their self-titled debut album on Election Day.
