Red Hot Chili Peppers to Play Acoustic Set to Benefit Flea’s Silverlake Conservatory of Music

Credit: Clara BalzaryRed Hot Chili Peppers will be performing a rare acoustic set at the annual benefit gala for bassist Flea's music education organization, the Silverlake Conservatory of Music. The event will be held this Saturday, October 17 in an undisclosed warehouse in Los Angeles' Frog Town neighborhood.

In addition to the Chili Peppers, R&B star John Legend will be performing at the Silverlake Conservatory Gala. The event will also include a silent auction, which will include works from famed artists Jeff Koons and Shepard Fairey, as well as from director Gus Van Sant.

Flea founded the Silverlake Conservatory of Music in 2001. The organization, based in L.A., aims to provide affordable music education, especially for the young people in the community.
