The Bay Area metal legends will perform the national anthem and throw out the first pitch before their hometown Giants take on the visiting Colorado Rockies in AT&T Park May 6.
"We'll stick around all night to cheer on the orange and black with all the loyal fans and keep your eyes peeled to spot us participating in some in between inning action," writes the band on their website.
Metallica has always been deeply ingrained in the Bay Area sports scene: the band has also performed before Golden State Warriors basketball games and San Jose Sharks hockey games.
Tickets to the fourth annual Metallica Night with the San Francisco Giants go on sale November 27 at 8 a.m PT.
