The Dead Weather Debuts New Song, “Be Still”

Third Man RecordsDespite its title, you may find yourself wanting to move around when listening to The Dead Weather's newest song, "Be Still." The track, which you can watch The Dead Weather perform at EW.com, features Jack White and Alison Mosshart trading wailing vocals, backed by a grooving, fuzzy bass-line.

"Be Still" will appear on The Dead Weather's forthcoming third album, Dodge and Burn, the band's first since 2010's Sea of Cowards.

Unlike The Dead Weather's last two live performance videos, "Be Still" doesn't come with a music lesson. Previous clips have shown White teaching drum technique and Jack Lawrence teaching bass technique. Videos focusing on Mosshart's vocals and Dean Fertita's guitar are still to come.

Dodge and Burn will be released on September 25.
