The Ting Tings Cancel US Tour Due to Katie White Injury

Image Courteys of MSO PRThe Ting Tings have canceled their U.S. headlining tour, which was scheduled to begin tomorrow, June 18, in Berwyn, Illinois. Vocalist and guitarist Katie White has suffered a partially ruptured tendon in her left hand and doctors have recommended she rest until it heals.

"Really sorry to be cancelling our U.S. tour. My left hand has been playing me up for a while and unfortunately, it finally decided to throw a tendon tantrum," says White in a statement. "We tried to scale back the upcoming shows to avoid making it worse, but unfortunately, I have a torn tendon that the doctors have said only rest and physiotherapy will heal...back soon."

The tour was scheduled to run through a July 26 show in Omaha, Nebraska.

White's injury is the latest in a year seemingly filled with ailing rock musicians. The Black Keys' Patrick Carney injured his shoulder, Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine broke her foot, and, most recently, Dave Grohl broke his leg after falling off the stage at a Foo Fighters show in Sweden.
