Tom DeLonge Releases New Solo Song, “The Invisible Parade”

While "New World," the first song to be released from To the Stars, reflected Blink's punk style, "The Invisible Parade" takes a more vulnerable acoustic approach. You can watch the lyric video for "The Invisible Parade" now on YouTube.

"I wrote this song about my brother coming home to San Diego after the war," DeLonge says of the new track on Twitter.

DeLonge announced the release of To the Stars following his very public falling out with his former Blink band mates, bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker. In addition to To the Stars, DeLonge also plans to release another solo album and two albums with his other band, Angels & Airwaves, this year.

Meanwhile, the post-DeLonge Blink-182 era is in full swing. The band has played three shows with Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba filling in for the departed DeLonge, and Barker is looking forward to the future of Blink-182.

"There's talk of maybe recording an album, there are talks of doing a tour with A Day to Remember," Barker tells Billboard. "So we'll see what happens."
