The AiC "Tears" cover will be included in the upcoming 40th anniversary reissue of Rush's 1976 album 2112, which will be released December 16. The reissue also includes a cover of the song "Overture" featuring Foo Fighters band mates Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins.
Alice in Chains' last album was 2013's The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here. The band wrapped up an extensive U.S. tour last month.
