Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack's debut solo album as Andy Black is turning out to be quite the all-star affair. After announcing he was recording with Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump and drummer Ashton Irwin of the Australian pop-punk band 5 Seconds of Summer, Biersack has now revealed on Instagram that Gerard Way has contributed to the album as well.
"Thank you so much to Gerard for coming in today," Biersack writes of the former My Chemical Romance frontman. "It was an absolute pleasure working with you and talking about music, comics and life. An inspiring creative force and a true artist!"
"This record just keeps getting more exciting! I can't wait for you all to hear it!" he adds.
Biersack announced plans for a solo project last year, and has so far released one song as Andy Black, called "They Don't Need to Understand."
Black Veil Brides spent their summer on Warped Tour, and they released their first live DVD, Alive and Burning, in July. The band will play shows in Mexico, Argentina, Chile and London this fall before returning to the U.S. for three California shows in October.
