DCFC has released an acoustic version of the Transatlanticsim track "Passenger Seat," featuring just Ben Gibbard's vocals and piano from touring member Zac Rae. Transatlanticism, which was released in 2003, was the first Death Cab for Cutie album to chart on the Billboard 200, peaking at number 97. The band's 2005 followup, Plans, debuted at number five on the chart.
DCFC is currently on tour in support of their latest album, Kintsgui, which bowed at number eight on the Billboard 200. The tour will continue all the way into October with a three-night stand at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle from October 3-5.
