Death Cab for Cutie have released another new track, "The Ghosts of Beverly Drive," from their forthcoming album, Kintsugi. The big riffs of "The Ghosts of Beverly Drive" follow the poppy "No Room in Frame" and the darker lead single, "Black Sun." You can listen to "The Ghosts of Beverly Drive" now at Stereogum.com.
Kintsugi is DCFC's first album to be released following the departure of founding member Chris Walla, though he did work on the album. While recording Kintsugi, Walla informed his band mates that it would be his last album with the band.
"We were like, 'Listen, if this is going to be your last album, then let's just make it a celebration of all the work we've done together and do our best to leave this and stay positive going through it,'" bassist Nick Harmer tells Stereogum. "Because there is no animosity, there is no bad blood -- he's a friend of ours just like any one of your friends. You want them to do what they want to be doing."
DCFC will be touring in support of Kintsugi beginning in April. The trek will include the band's first ever headlining show at New York City's Madison Square Garden September 12. Kintsugi will be released March 31.
