Foo Fighters Announce Intimate New York City Show

Image Courtesy of Ringo StarrIn celebration of the finale of their documentary series Sonic Highways, Foo Fighters have announced an intimate show at New York City's Irving Plaza on December 5. As with the previous seven "secret" shows, the concert will be preceded by a showing of the week's Sonic Highways episode.

In keeping with their "Beat the Bots" mindset, tickets will only be available at the Irving Plaza box office. Tickets will go on sale at 5 p.m. ET on Friday, but before you skip your entire work day to wait in line, the announcement does note that you will not be allowed to line up until 3 p.m.

The New York City episode of Sonic Highways will be the eighth and final entry of the series. The show documented the Foos traveling from city to city while recording their new album of the same name.

In case you missed any of these smaller Sonic Highways screenings/concerts, Foo Fighters will be launching a full scale North American tour next summer. The tour will begin July 4 in Washington, D.C., and wrap up October 7 in Memphis, Tennessee. General public ticket sales will begin December 4 and 5, depending on the city. All ticket info can be found on FooFighters.com.
