Credit: Tim CadienteWhile we continue to wait for the next Tool album, you'll have something else to look forward to as well. A biography of Maynard James Keenan is due out in fall of 2016, publisher Backbeat Books confirmed.
Perhaps the book will go into the lawsuit that has prevented Tool from working on the follow-up to their 2006 album, 10,000 Days. The band returned to recording earlier this year, and guitarist Adam Jones has said he hopes the album will be finished by the end of 2015. Most recently, when asked about the new Tool album, Keenan told Rolling Stone, "I write lyrics and melodies to music. If I don't have music, I can't."
Meanwhile, Keenan is releasing a new album October 30 with his other band, Puscifer, called Money Shot, and will tour in support of it in November. Keenan will also play a show with Tool at the Monster Mash Music Festival in Tempe, Arizona Halloween night.
