The 1975 Is Counting Down to Something, Again

Credit: Dave MaIn typically cryptic fashion, The 1975 has launched a mysterious countdown clock on their website. The countdown will hit zero on October 8 at 7 p.m. ET.

Most likely, the clock is counting down to the announcement of The 1975's sophomore album, which will be the follow-up to their 2013 self-titled debut.

Earlier this year, The 1975 also started a countdown on their social media that was to conclude on June 1. On May 31, the band posted a photo of a comic strip featuring quotes such as "the hardest part of any relationship is to say 'goodbye,'" before deleting all of their social media profiles. The social media blackout, along with the comic strip post, led some to believe that The 1975 had broken up. However, the band returned to social media on June 2 with a new, pink logo and soon announced tour dates in their native U.K. and the U.S.

The 1975's U.S. tour will run from December 3 in Boston to December 20 in Seattle.
