U2’s iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour Sold Out; New Dates Added

Paolo PellegrinTheir last tour, U2360°, set a record for the highest-grossing concert tour ever.  Now their next tour appears destined for massive success as well.  U2's 2015 iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE tour has already sold out -- but the good news is, the band's adding more dates.

Tickets for iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE went on sale Monday morning, and just that fast, all 44 dates in 19 cities worldwide sold out.  That's prompted the band to add two new shows each in New York, Boston, Chicago, Montreal, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Berlin, and Paris, making 16 new shows in all. Tickets for those dates go on sale next Monday, December 15.

The tour will begin May 14, in Vancouver, BC, and is scheduled to wrap in November in Paris. Additional special charity shows in Dublin, Ireland will be scheduled for the end of 2015.

“We are going to try to have a completely different feeling from night one to night two,” said Bono in a statement. “And have some fun playing with the idea of innocence and experience. More to be revealed!”

The May tour start will hopefully give Bono plenty of time to recover from his serious bicycle accident in New York's Central Park last month, which shattered his left upper arm and shoulder blade, and fractured his left eye socket.
