Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump will be a judge on the special holiday edition of the a capalla music competition The Sing Off. As host Nick Lachey reminds him, he will be filling in for fellow rocker Ben Folds.
"Shoot, how do I fill those [shoes]?" Stump says of the four-time judge in a newly released clip from the special. "I'm a huge fan of Ben's, and he's actually on tour right now, so they got the other nerdy rock star that they could find." You can watch the whole clip on The Hollywood Reporter's website.
The FOB frontman will be joined on the judge's panel by pop singer Jewel and Boyz II Men's Shawn Stockman. The special will air December 17 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
On December 15, two days before The Sing Off airs, Fall Out Boy's forthcoming album, American Beauty/American Psycho, will become available for pre-order. If you pre-order the album on iTunes, you'll receive an instant download of the band's hit single, "Centuries," the title track and another song to be announced.
American Beauty/American Psycho will be released January 20.
