Prophets of Rage Staging Anti-Inaugural Ball, Featuring Audioslave Reunion

Kevin Winter/Getty ImagesStill haven’t received your ticket to one of the Donald Trump inaugural balls?  No worries -- Prophets of Rage has got you covered.

The band is hosting what they’re calling an Anti-Inaugural Ball this Friday, the same day as the presidential inauguration, at LA’s Teragram Ballroom.  Prophets of Rage will be joined at the event by special guests Jackson Browne, rapper Vic Mensa, and actor/singer Jack Black.

Even better, the Anti-Inaugural Ball will also see Prophets of Rage members Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk reunite with Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell to perform as Audioslave for the first time in eleven years.

"The Anti-Inaugural Ball is a celebration of resistance,” Morello says in a statement announcing the event.  “Resistance to racism. Resistance to sexism. Resistance to homophobia. Resistance to bullying. Resistance to environmental devastation.  Resistance to fascism. Resistance to Donald Trump. We are staring down the barrel of a dystopian nightmare unless we act NOW, unless we fight back NOW.”

“Bad Presidents make for great music. Join us as we get loud and stand together to defend our rights, our country, and our planet," the statement ends.

Tickets are available now via Ticketmaster, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network).  If you can’t attend, the show will be livestreamed around the world on the Prophets of Rage Facebook page.
